I was a manager at Publix Supermarkets before starting Eron's Carpet Cleaning in 1998.
Even though I had no previous knowledge in the carpet cleaning industry, I had my hard work ethic, combined with a strong desire to do the best job possible, and I was able to create a business that boasts a 90% customer repeat rate, (which is uncommon in this industry). Most carpet cleaners retain about 43% of their customers.

Eron's Carpet Cleaning started with a portable system thrown in the back of a 1982 Ford Van. After 2 weeks in business, all my family & friends had clean carpets. Now that I had some experience I was ready for the real world. Surprisingly enough, I was able to land a very nice commercial client. Prior to using Eron's Carpet Cleaning, they used 3 different franchise companies, all using truck mounted units. Armed with my portable system, and 3 whole weeks of massive experience, I was up against the biggest challenge of my career. The facility was a 30,000 sq. ft. church, with exceedingly dirty carpets. They agreed to let me try and clean the 400 sq. ft. cafeteria & the 1600 sq. ft youth area, the dirtiest areas. They were impressed and told me they wanted to see it in 2 days. I was surprised with this, and they went on to tell me that after only a few days, most if not all, of the spots seemed to come back with the other carpet cleaners. One week later, I met with the Pastor, and he said, "You are like David and Goliath, how did you get my carpet so clean with that little portable system while all the other carpet cleaners with their truck mounted systems could not?" and then he asked me to clean the rest of the 30,000 sq. ft. of carpet.

Now I knew I was onto something, but it still puzzled me as much as it did the Pastor. For the next 5 months, this experience brought me plenty of work. I just kept on doing what worked, but I was frustrated with the amount of time that it took to do an outstanding job with the portable system I had.

School Time! Yes, I went back to school, for carpet cleaning that is. I learned why what I was doing was working, and why most carpet cleaners don't do it: it takes too long, and it's too expensive. I also chose to upgrade to a more powerful cleaning system that would allow me to continue to provide a quality job in a more professional manor. The truck mounted system, our most recent purchase, is a Prochem Legend SE.

Since then, I have gone back to carpet cleaning school 3 times, and upgraded my equipment 5 times, to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Eron's Carpet Cleaning has also gone on to add upholstery, tile and grout cleaning to their services. I continue to give my clients the superior job they have come to expect from Eron's Carpet Cleaning.
